Welcome to Wilharman

The family owned and run show kennel for Boston Terriers.
We are located in the heart of rural lincolnshire. As members of the Kennel Club Assured Breeder Scheme and Northern Boston Terrier Club, we abide by all of their rules and strive to breed and show, quality Boston Terriers. We are fiercly proud of our achievements to date, and carefully breed for type, temperament and sound movement. All dogs in our breeding programme are DNA CLEAR for Early onset hereditory cataracts and are tested yearly by a BVA vet.

The Boston Terrier

Picture
A compact and well-muscled dog, the Boston Terrier stands up to 16 inches at the shoulder. And comes in three different weight catergories. His coat is short, smooth and sleek, and comes in dark brindle with white markings or seal with white markings. This dog's size makes him easy to fit into almost any accommodation.
The Boston Terrier is odour-free and rarely sheds, making him a desirable companion for people with allergies.
An affectionate dog, easy to care for, with a lively, intelligent nature, the Boston Terrier is a wonderful family pet. He is good with children and other pets, and enjoys playing.
He responds well to training, but can be determined and self-willed. His owner should be prepared to spend time with him.

BVA Eye Test Standard
The eye scheme currently relates to conditions involving the eye itself and not those involving the tear ducts, the eyelids or the surrounding sturctures. Therefore hereditory eye conditions of the lens, retina and other internal structures are listed, whilst eyelid conditions such as entropian, ectropion and distichiasis are not. These latter conditions are of importance, but because of their extremely complex nature and the paucity of scientific evidence relating to their degree of heredity, they are not included in the scheme at present.
