Why Microchip - Responsibility to your pet and yourself

We are fully trained implanters.  Microchipping Dogs, Cats, Rabbits and Ferrets. We will come and microchip your animal in your own home in familiar surroundings. Causing less stress.  We use only the best microchips. And being only 2mm in diameter are not noticeable once implanted.  The microchips we use are fully compliant and recognized as one of the safest chips on the market to date.  The chip sits in the fatty tissue just under the skin between the shoulder blades and is totally inert - no batteries, magnets or moving parts. The chips have reliability built in. Each chip has a unique 15 digit number which will be married to your details. Once your pet has been microchipped we will register both the chip and your details with the national petlog database at the kennel club. You can be sure in the case of losing you cherished pet. That you have done your part and given yourself every chance of being re-united. Animals must be at least 8 weeks old to be micro chipped.

Petlog is the official UK database and is run by the UK Kennel Club. They have one 24/7 telephone number - 0870 6066 751. All of the chips we use are registered with Petlog. Which is the national database. When calling Petlog, you must first select the category you are enquiring about (lost pet - found pet etc), after which you will be put through to the correct department.

It is also important to know that Petlog are part of EuroPetNet. EuroPetNet cleverly connect several European databases together - so even if your pet is lost whilst you're on holiday in another European country, you still have a good chance of being reunited with it.
